On Tuesday, Kenosha County DA Michael Gravely announced that Rusten Sheskey, the cop who shot Jacob Blake 7 times in the back on August 23rd of 2020, would not face any criminal charges.
Black survived being shot in the back so many times but was left paralyzed from the waist down.
Gravely said that based on the facts and laws, they couldn’t charge Sheskey and also announced that the other two officers involved in the shooting won’t be charged either. Additionally, Jacob Blake won’t be charged either for whatever role he played in the situation.
Many people are upset with the ruling because it’s another example of police using excessive force while trying to apprehend 1 Black man. It seems that they know how to perfectly apprehend a non person of color without excessive force but when it comes to Black people they only know to shoot.
Even though there are a lot of people angry over the decision, the DA does have his supporters. One of those people is known race baiter, the son of former NFL RB Herschel Walker, Christian Walker.
Christian uploaded a video celebrating the decision calling Blake a criminal and also calling Black Lives Matter crybabies and said everyone should be prepared for another one of their tantrums.
People like him love to act like they’re better than other Black people just because of the way they were raised and how privileged they grew up. One day he’ll realize that cops see him as just another Black person.
