A Black woman continues to solidify her legacy within the NFL getting praise and support once again.
Jennifer King is set to become the first Black woman to coach in the NFL after her earlier years with the Carolina Panthers.
“The Washington Football Team will make King a full-time offensive assistant after she spent this season as a coaching intern,” via The NFL Network.
King has been making strides and efforts to achieve so much in a male dominant field such as the NFL.
“Earlier this month, King made history alongside Bucs asst. defensive line coach Lori Locust and asst. strength and conditioning coach Maral Javadifar as the first female coaches to occupy opposing sidelines during a playoff game.In between her two stints with the Panthers, King served as an assistant wide receiver coach and special teams assistant for the now-defunct Arizona Hotshots of the Alliance of American Football,” via The NFL Network.
One day it’ll be nice to see a major position held by a Black woman in this sports.
