Being a football player tough, from the pee week level, to the highest level of the profession.

You deal with the physical strains that come with playing the sport, along with the mental fatigue that can set in if you make it to the toughest level of competition.

Most players are told “suck it up” or “be a man”, but in all reality, it’s extremely difficult to put all the things that are hurting you aside and focus on the task at hand.

It’s why so few players actually make it to the NFL, and the reason above isn’t even the sole reason why so many don’t reach the pinnacle of football competition.

Even if you do make it there, the struggles you have to go through to get there are otherworldly.

Ex-Bears and Patriots tight end Martellus Bennett took to Twitter to discuss the many issues that tie into not just being  being a player in the NFL, but a player of the game in general, including some that you might not even think about.
