Tiger Woods had a pretty scary car accident last week and the sports world collectively held their breath until we knew he was ok.
It could have been a lot worse but he ended up having a compound fracture in his leg and a broken ankle. There were lots of speculation that there could have been something in his system but that was quickly debunked after authorities said that there wasn’t anything in his system.
The reports have all now said that he was just running late for a golf lesson with Drew Brees and was speeding when he hit a tree which made his car flip.
Now, according to The Jasmine Brand, experts are saying he could have been asleep at the wheel.
“To me, this is like a classic case of falling asleep behind the wheel, because the road curves and his vehicle goes straight.
“It’s a drift off the road, almost like he was either unconscious, suffering from a medical episode or fell asleep and didn’t wake up until he was off the road and that’s where the brake application came in.”
“My feeling is that speed wasn’t that much of an issue. It was just some kind of inattention that caused the curb strike.”
“[suggests] he wasn’t paying attention at all.”“At the hospital, he was asked about it by the investigators and he had no recollection of the crash itself.”“I don’t think he was aware of how gravely he was injured at the time. It could be a mixture of adrenaline, it could’ve been shock.”
