LaMarcus Aldridge’s position to contend for an NBA title with the Brooklyn Nets this season is no longer a priority.
According to Aldridge’s statement via Twitter, he announced his retirement today after health issues and family.
This season the big man averaged 13.5 points per game and shot 87.2 percent from the free-throw line.
Losing Aldridge doesn’t mean the Nets chances are slim but rather interesting with Blake Griffin as their forward to rely on.
