CASH OUT YOUNG MAN.
Scoot is a 5-start recruit and since he believes his life is about becoming an NBA player why even go back to school when you can get paid and get better coaching.
I salute him.
Scoot Henderson, the No. 3-ranked point guard in the Class of 2022 per 247Sports.com out of Marietta (GA) Kell, announced he will reclassify into the Class of 2021 and sign with Ignite.
Henderson, 17, will join five-star power forward Mike Foster and five-star combo guard Jaden Hardy on the Ignite team coached by Brian Shaw. Shams Charania of The Athletic reported Henderson’s deal is for $1 million.
He chose the G League path — which pays players six-figure salaries — over Auburn, Georgia and a lucrative offer from the Overtime League. Because he won’t turn 19 until 2023, he will be eligible for the NBA Draft that year.
Now, he is guaranteed to get paid regardless of what happens with the league in a couple of years.
Invest wisely and hopefully, he still goes to school to get his HS diploma.
