The Indiana Fever are set to open their WNBA season on May 14 against the New York Liberty who went 2-20 in the 2019-20 season.
Kysre Gondrezick who is equipped to run in transition as a shot creator fills a scoring void the Fever missed.
With eyes on Gondrezick as a rookie, the Fever made some changes on Sunday waiving Maya Caldwell and Trinity Baptiste.
“The 24th overall pick in the 2021 WNBA Draft, Baptiste faced an uphill battle to make the Fever’s 12-woman roster. Baptiste made it through the first week of training camp but apparently didn’t do enough to establish herself as a WNBA-ready player,” per SB Nation.
This will be an interesting season since the Fever has a fresh start with coach Marianne Stanley returning.
