Chris Paul had an impressive double-double on Thursday night but it wasn’t enough to go up 3-0 on the Los Angeles Clippers.
The Clippers defeated the Suns 106-92 behind Paul George 27 points and Reggie Jackson’s 23 points.
Paul shot 5-for-19 from the field and 2-for-7 from the three-point line.
Devin Booker who suffered a nose injury was held to 15 points shooting 23 percent from the field.
Throughout the second-half, Clippers guard Patrick Beverly made Booker uncomfortable forcing him to pick up his dribble while cutting off the drive.
“This team is tough,” George told ESPN. “We do whatever it takes. We trust one another. We’ve got each other’s backs, and we just play hard.
If the key is man-to-man defense on Booker, the Suns got a reality check on what playoff basketball is about and will have to adjust come Game 4.
