Just when you’ve thought you heard it all from Florida the crazy news stories keep coming. In this story a Florida woman, 23-year-old Alexis Talley was arrested for domestic battery after she allegedly beat her girlfriend for “talking in her sleep about an ex.”
According to a report acquired by the Smoking Gun, police responded to calls from a neighbor who overheard a fight taking place.
When authorities arrived at the scene, Talley’s girlfriend said she was woken up after Talley claimed to hear her sleep talk about an ex. Talley punched the victim in the face said the authorities who said she had visible swelling on the right side of her face which matched her statement.
Talley was arrested on Sunday (June 13) for domestic battery. She maintains her innocence and claims that her argument was only verbal and never got to the point of violence.
She told the officers that the mark on her girlfriend’s face was from “a previous disorder,” not the argument that was reported to the police.
Talley was released on Monday on a $2,500 bond and is prohibited from contacting her 21-year-old girlfriend. Talley is facing a felony charge after a previous battery arrest where she pleaded no contest
