French Montana finally has responded to Waka Flock Flame’s mother and Gucci Mane’s former manager Deb Antney’s claims that Gucci stole over $5k from French. On the Drink Champs, Antney told a story about how Gucci didn’t like French and when he contacted Gucci for a feature. French then paid Guwop $5k before Gucci decided to take the money without doing the verse.
“French didn’t really make it that well in Georgia. Gucci didn’t like French. Because the first time he went into the studio to do a song with him, he paid Gucci $5,000 to get on a feature. And he was just sitting in the studio and Gucci was gone out the backdoor. Gucci just took the money and left.”
Antney eventually gave French the $5k back from her own pockets. The thing is, Frech Montant denies that entire ordeal.
“I never did a verse with Gucci where he took my money and never did the verse, you know. I think it was like 12 years ago. He did do the verse, the song was called straight cash remix. We had put it out. I don’t know where people got that story from.”
Usually, with two completely different stories, the truth lies in the middle but old Gucci was crazy like that.
