If Paul George didn’t show up as the infamous “Playoff P”, the Los Angeles Clippers would’ve witnessed Phoenix head to their first NBA Finals since 1993.
On Monday night, the Clippers took down the Suns 111-102 in a desperation game where the momentum shifted in the Clippers direction.
Marcus Morris Sr. opened the game on a scoring run shooting 7-for-7 from the field finishing the game with 22 points.
It was George breaking out of a hesitant approach where he scored 41 points followed with Reggie Jackson’s 23 points.
The Suns couldn’t keep up in transition after recording a total of 14 turnovers and scoring 32 points in the paint.
A surprise from the Clippers bench was Demarcus Cousins who took advantage of every possession down low scoring 15 points in a 11 minute span.
Devin Booker and Chris Paul combined for 53 points and will head to Los Angeles on Wednesday to prevent a Game 7.
