Sometimes we don’t understand why great actors leave this earth so soon.
If fans enjoyed Black Panther which was released in 2018…they’ll love the sequel.
“Director Ryan Coogler is returning to direct from his screenplay, and Feige says that everyone from the original cast is also coming back — without, of course, star Chadwick Boseman, who died in August 2020 after a four year battle with colon cancer,” per Variety.
“Black Panther: Wakanda Forever” — the highly anticipated sequel to the Oscar-winning, billion-dollar blockbuster “Black Panther” — started production on Tuesday at Pinewood Studios in Atlanta, Marvel Studios chief Kevin Feige tells Variety.
The production is set in Atlanta and everyone who’s in on the project acknowledges Boseman would be proud to see the developments.
It’s for the culture and when you have films that show the image of a powerful Black man…it instills confidence in little Black boys across America to believe they’re special.
As far as what we know about the plot of the movie there isn’t much out there beyond Namor the Submariner will be introduced. It is likely he will be more of an anti-hero than a villain. This was teased in Avengers: End Game.
No one knows how they will address Boseman’s absence or who will take up the mantle of Black Panther. We will likely have to wait until the first trailer for that.
