After the Indiana Pacers 2006-07 NBA season, Rick Carlisle found himself in a great position four years later helping the Dallas Mavericks win their first NBA title in franchise history.
According to ESPN, Carlisle agreed to a four-year $29 million contract after resigning from the Mavericks to return to Indiana.
This is the right move given the Pacers front office understands experience and veteran-ship matters.
Hiring a coach could be one thing, but the right pieces on the court is another and the Pacers should look into that aspect come free agency.
