I don’t think the Bucks were that upset about it.
I don’t think Monty Williams was trying to make it a “look at me” moment. Monty seems like one of those guys who was taught when you take your L you shake the other man’s hand and tell them good job.
Could the timing have been better, I suppose it could have, but in a hectic situation like winning the NBA Finals, there probably wasn’t going to be a lot of chances for Monty to speak to the Bucks as a group.
Amin who said many complimentary things about the Monty says he was just saying what a few people were thinking behind closed doors (or laptops/phones in this case). You can decide if you believe that or not.
In the end, I don’t think anyone was bothered or offended, so everyone is just arguing over nothing again.
