On Monday, it was reported that several staffers and NFL players tested positive for COVID, despite all of them taking the vaccine. Well, this didn’t sit well with Instagram model and wife of Buffalo Bills Jordan Poyer, took to Twitter and demanded answers from the NFL.
Her reaction comes after last week, it was announced that COVID outbreaks among unvaccinated players could cause games to be canceled. In a memo from Commissioner Roger Goodell, he said games would no longer be rescheduled and teams responsible for the cancelation would receive a loss on their record and the players on the team would not get a check for that game.
“As we learned last year, we can play a full season if we maintain a firm commitment to adhering to our health and safety protocols and to making needed adjustments in response to changing conditions,” Goodell said in the memo.
“While there is no question that health conditions have improved from last year, we cannot be complacent or simply assume that we will be able to play without interruption — either due to Covid outbreaks among our clubs or outbreaks that occur within the larger community.”
Some players who have opposed the new mandate by the NFL include Jalen Ramsey, DeAndre Hopkins, and Cole Beasley.
The news comes as most NFL teams are gearing up for training camp. Only 75% of players have received one dose while only 14 of the 32 teams reaching the 85% threshold set by the league.
Bush says she won’t allow Poyer or their kid get vaccinated.
