Are all rings equal?
I think in the long term yes.
Do you question how many playoff rounds Bill Russell had to play to win his 11 rings? Do you speak about the two NBA Finals that Kobe Bryant lost? Do you care the Rockets won their two while Jordan was playing baseball?
Over time people just remember the number of championships not so much how you got them.
In the short term with social media there are going to be some discussions.
Was Giannis’ round harder than Kevin Durant or LeBron’s road to titles?
There are already people saying Giannis’ ring is worth more than Kevin Durant’s two rings. That is social media, so you can’t get around that.
To me, everyone has a different path. Durant and LeBron thought they needed to leave to have a chance at titles and that is what they did. Giannis decided to stay and it worked out for him, but it isn’t working out for Damian Lillard so it can always go either way.
Flip the page to hear Giannis speaking about wanting to do things his way. The hard non-superteam way.
