Everyone remembers how so many MAGA idiots acted on January 6, when they stormed the US Capitol, and caused an insurrection. That came as Donald Trump incited violence, and continued his false claims about the 2020 presidential being rigged, the same one that Joe Biden beat him comfortably in.
The feds since then, have been trying to arrest as many suspects as they can, who stormed the Capitol. The latest involves 35-year-old Michael Curzio, who was in DC that day. Curzio was previously in prison, and joined a white supremacist gang there. He was in prison for attempted murder, according to CNN. Curzio was reported to have shot his ex-girlfriend’s boyfriend in the chest. For the white supremacist gang, he tried to make an excuse that that move would protect him in prison.
Curzio has since been in prison for six months due to the Capitol riot, as he is getting credit for time served, after a recent sentencing. The judge in this case believes that six months was enough, and he’s not in the position to create a longer sentence.
“Mr. Curzio should be sentenced to the six-month statutory maximum,” said Carl Nichols at a hearing. “I am not in a position to be able to impose a longer sentence than that. I think that a six-month sentence is appropriate here. Mr. Curzio will have, in two days, served that entire sentence.”
In addition to Curzio, 12 more MAGA rioters will plead guilty and be sentenced this year. Unfortunately, a lot of these will be getting less than six-month sentences.
“I’m gonna own up,” Curzio said during a virtual hearing conference on Monday. “I did parade, demonstrate, and picket (inside the Capitol). I can’t deny that. You have it on video. I’m not gonna contest it.”
Curizo plead guilty to one misdemeanor count of unlawfully protesting inside the Capitol, and also had to pay a $500 fine. The CNN report explained how this is what the Justice Department is offering to rioters who didn’t “act violently.”
