Ray Allen Hurt in Bicycle Crash After Avoiding Being Hit By Car in His Neighborhood; Take Closer Look at Injuries After Visiting Hospital

Ray Allen is recognized by many as one of the best shooters in NBA history, and a future hall of famer. He won two rings with the Celtics and Heat, as he came through in clutch moments for them. He is enjoying retired life now, and this past weekend, ran into a scare.

Allen was riding his bicycle in his neighborhood, and that’s when he suffered a crash that left some parts of his body bloodied. This went down after he tried to avoid a car that was heading towards him. When Allen turned around, he hit a tree branch. He went on to injure his face, shoulder, and hip.

“Yesterday as I approached the end of my bike ride, I was cruising through my neighborhood and a car pulled up slowly behind me. I sped up to get out of the way. As I looked back behind me, the car was gone, but, the minute I turned my head back to what was in front of me, it was too late. I ran over a tree branch that was in the road and my front wheel went haywire and threw me from the bike. I landed on my face, shoulder and hip.”

Allen went on to get taken to the hospital by his wife. X-rays were conducted, and everything was fine. Thankfully, he rode his helmet during that bike ride.
