Ben Simmons is coming off one of the worst playoff performances of all-time. He was scared to take big shots for the Sixers, and also had the worst free throw percentage. This resulted in teams going with the “Hack A Simmons” route, late in games. Philly ended up falling to the Hawks in seven games, in the Eastern Conference Semis.
There has been speculation since the Sixers got bounce about if Simmons will end up being traded. Now, it looks like one team is already planning a package for that trade, and that is the Pacers, according to Jason Dumas.
Indiana was reportedly turned down by the Sixers, after offering a first round pick and Malcolm Brogdon for Simmons. Philly definitely seems like they are willing to continue to work with Simmons on his game, considering how much still needs to be worked on.
Simmons was still able to make the all-star team this season, with averages of 14 points, seven rebounds, and six assists per game. The Sixers were the one seed in the East, with a 49-23 record.
