Soulja Boy has been launching a new gimmick in 2021, with him claiming that he was the first rapper to do a lot of things. Last week, he also participated in a very entertaining Verzuz battle, with Bow Wow. Now, Big Draco is taking to social media to make another “I did it first” claim.
Soulja recently appeared on the “Million Dollaz Worth Of Game” podcast, where he says he was the first rapper to have the first iPhone, back in 2007. He explained that Steve Jobs and Apple gave him the first iPhone, during his “Crank That” video shoot, that year.
I was the first rapper with the iPhone. It was ‘Crank Dat’ video shoot 2007. Steve Jobs and the Apple team came. I was in the swimming pool, doing the instructional dance. Showing the people how to do the dance. We was on the set of the ‘Crank Dat’ video. They came, they brought me the iPhone.
There still hasn’t been footage of Steve Jobs and Apple handing Soulja this first iPhone, but a clip has surfaced of him in 2007 with one, playing his breakout hit single. It’ll be interesting to see if Big Soulja is able to fully prove this.
