Last year, Tristan Thompson sued Instagram model, Kimberly Alexander, for $100,000. This was after she claimed that the Boston Celtics star got her pregnant. Now, this libel case has officially ended up working out in Thompson’s favor.
According to TMZ, Thompson has been granted $50,000 in this case, which Alexander has to pay. In addition to this amount, she has to pay 10% interest until it’s paid off, and $2,901.75 in court costs.
Thompson initially claimed that Alexander’s claims were taking a hit to his reputation. This is due to his endorsement deals supposedly being lost in this situation. He received $50k instead of the requested $100k due to him not explaining which endorsements he lost.
Thompson ended up averaging seven points and eight rebounds in his first season in Boston this year. The Celtics got bounced in the first round in six games to the Nets.
