Quinn Ewers had been flat out dominant as the QB at Carroll High School in Southlake, Texas. He is the number one prospect in the state, and has initially committed to Texas for college. It was a dream for him to be a Longhorn but now, he is heading to Ohio State. Ewers is also the number two overall prospect in the 2022 class.
According to ESPN, Ewers is also forgoing his senior season at Southlake, to enroll at OSU. On Twitter, he added that he wants to take advantage of his NIL now. Ewers is now able to participate in the Buckeyes’ fall camp.
The QBs that Ewers will have to compete for a starting job for at OSU are C.J. Stroud, Jack Miller, and Kyle McCord. Last year, the Buckeyes were lead by Justin Fields, who went on to get drafted by the Bears, with the 11th overall pick.
