Today, the Bucs and Titans had a joint practice together, as the two will face off in a Week 2 preseason game, on August 21. In Thursday’s joint practice though, things got very heated, as Antonio Brown and Titans CB Chris Jackson got into a fight. AB was able to get Jackson’s helmet off, and landed an easy punch to the face.
Bucs’ Head Coach Bruce Arians didn’t seem to mind it much after practice though, as he labeled the situation as “waving flies.” He was also thankful to the Titans for having this joint practice with them, ahead of Saturday’s game.
“Really pleased with the work we’ve gotten the last two days — extremely good competition,” Arians said, per ProFootballTalk. “Obviously, it always happens when the flyers and the gunners get together, something starts. But it was spirited, it was great practice and I really appreciate the Titans for coming down here and helping us get better, and hopefully we made them better.”
“I didn’t see any fighting, a lot of pushing and shoving but I didn’t see any fists thrown,” added Arians, regarding the AB-Chris Jackson fight.
Arians definitely saw something different from the rest of all of us. He went on to say that no players will be punished, even if he sees the fight, on film.
