Vanessa Bryant and her mother, Sofia Laine, haven’t seen eye to eye for a while now. Last year, Laine blasted Vanessa publicly and said how Kobe claimed that he’d have her set for life, financially. Laine ended up suing Vanessa as well, as she explained how she supposedly wasn’t paid enough for her job as a nanny.
Laine was reportedly a nanny for Vanessa and Kobe’s children for 20 years. She also claimed that she was kicked out of Vanessa’s home, shortly after Kobe and Gianna Bryant’s tragic death, last January.
Vanessa initially labeled the lawsuit as”frivolous, disgraceful and unimaginably hurtful.” She explained how Kobe never promised her mother anything, and she wasn’t an assistant, nor a nanny for them.
“In reality, she only occasionally babysat my older girls when they were toddlers,” adding, “As of ten years ago, our kids were full-time students and athletes and I didn’t have another child until 2016.”
Now, according to TMZ, Vanessa and her mother have reached a settlement in court. The exact terms of what was settled didn’t end up being publicly disclosed. Prior to this, Vanessa’s mother wanted $200,000.
