After a nearly decade-long run in Toronto which earned him multiple all-star nods and an NBA Championship, Kyle Lowry will be playing in Miami next season as a part of a sign-and-trade deal with the Heat. The Raptors receive Goran Dragic and big man Precious Achiuwa in the deal.
According to The Athletics Shams Charania, Lowry signed a three-year deal worth $85 million. It was initially reported that his deal was worth $90 million but came out to $90 million. His trade to Miami will reunite him with close friend Jimmy Butler, who has agreed to sign a new contract of his own with Miami and was instrumental in bringing Lowry to Miami.

Despite many folks across social media thinking, this deal is a big risk for a 35-year-old injury-prone point guard, but the Heat have been after Lowry since at least the trade deadline back in March. Heat President Pat Riley seems to have a lot of confidence in Lowry.
Kyle Lowry is a great leader and expectational defender. As a point guard, he will bring important skills to run the offense, score the ball and defend the very best.
Pretty high praise. Hopefully, Lowry can get back to his all-star form and avoid the injury bug.
Last season in 46 games Lowry averaged 17 PPG, 5.4 RPG, and over 7 Assist per game.
