We could have very well seen Manny Pacquiao fight last weekend after losing a unanimous decision to Yordenis Ugas.
The fight wasn’t really close either.
Manny, who is 42 and would likely be 43 the next time he fought, or approaching 43, said that he isn’t sure if that was the end for him. What he did say was he can’t believe he lost to Ugas.
“In my entire career, Ugas was one of the easiest opponents,” Pacquiao told The Athletic in an interview at the dinner table of one of his Los Angeles homes. “(Ugas) only had one style, and I should’ve been able to easily move away … you’ve seen how I have moved in my fights before. I couldn’t move in this fight. My legs just … stopped.”
His wife recently posted a video of her having to spoon-feed him, and after seeing the video, it should probably be the end.
He can maybe take an exhibition fight, but he’s had a great career where he has nothing left to prove.
