It’s been 27 years now since OJ Simpson allegedly killed Nicole Brown Simpson and Ronald Goldman. Goldman’s father, Fred, has been trying to get paid off of a judgment against OJ, and it looks like it may happen soon.
According to TMZ Sports, a Nevada judge is now ordering OJ to answer questions from Fred’s lawyer, about the current state of his assets. These include employment, property, and funds.
OJ will have to make an appearance at the lawyers’ offices on September 16. Should he not show up, a bench warrant for his arrest would then be filed. OJ was ordered to pay $33.5 million in 1997 during the civil case against him. The interest since then has now totaled up to $70 million.
Fred Goldman believes that OJ has the funds to finally pay him these millions, ever since getting out of prison in 2017. It will definitely be interesting to see if this meeting with these lawyers about OJ’s will be enough to determine that he has the assets to pay Fred after all these years.
