Rappers perform all the time to open up for bigger artists to gain exposure in their city. For two rappers in Waterbury, CT, their opportunities may be over now.
According to the Hartford Courant, Andre Reed, 29, and Reginald Miles, 31, are part of a rap group, who opened up for Jim Jones. After their show, they were involved in a drive-by shooting, where they ended up striking three people. This all went down near the Hook Lounge on July 24.
One man ended up dead as a result of the shooting. He was IDed as 37-year-old Douglas Daniels. The other victims who survived were a 35 and 33-year-old man.
Reed and Miles have now been charged with murder, conspiracy to commit murder, and two counts of first-degree assault. Miles is still locked up on a $3 million bond, while Reed is in custody on a $2 million bond. A man was also in the SUV that Reed and Miles left in and ended up telling police this month what happened. He made this move due to fearing being retaliated against.
This sounds very similar to the movie Juice.
