T.J. McConnell has proven he’s capable of providing solid minutes off the bench with his defense.
“T.J. McConnell has agreed to a four-year, $35.2 million deal to stay with the Indiana Pacers, his agent Mark Bartelstein of Priority Sports told ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski. The Pacers are also adding forward Torrey Craig, who agreed to a two-year, $10 million deal, his agents, Dave Spahn and Austin Brown of CAA Sports, told Wojnarowski. McConnell, 29, averaged career highs of 8.6 points and 1.9 steals this season for Indiana, while tying his career high with an average of 6.6 assists,” per ESPN.
McConnell also finished as the second league leader in steals behind Jimmy Butler last season.
With a contract like McConnell’s, he’ll have to increase his ppg because his impact is impressive on both ends.
