Fans can definitely bring the energy to every sport at venues, which can bring tense moments, between themselves, and players. This was the case at this weekend’s Nice vs Marseille soccer match.
Dimitri Payet of Marseille was confronted by Nice fans, and that soon turned into a brawl between fans and players. It definitely gave off Malice At The Palace vibes. This all started after Payet was hit by a bottle, something similar to that of Pacers vs Pistons, in Detroit, in 2004, when it happened to Ron Artest.
Things started to really escalate, after Payet threw the bottle back into the crowd. The ref soon escorted both teams to the locker rooms, as the scene began to become very chaotic.
