Go to training camp or hang with Maya Jama?
It was an easy decision for Ben Simmons, who was hurt that the Sixers for the third year in a row have asked him to shoot jumpers in real games, and he refuses to do it.
No one knows why.
After a subpar playoff performance where he was terrified to take shots, the Sixers again stressed they needed him to step his game up. Instead of doing that, Simmons bought a $17 million house in LA, went on a European vacation, and told the Sixers he would never play for them again.
They can fine him, but he makes so much money it doesn’t have the same effect as when an NFL player tries to skip training camp.
