The Denver Broncos are expected to sell the team in 2022, as there are talks of the family of Pat Bowden inheriting the team. Bowden initially bought the team for $78 million back in 1984. The “differences” among them, though, and the current price of the team, is what’s expected for the team to be on sale, according to Front Office Sports.
Two huge moguls are expected to be in the running to be the new owner of the Broncos. Sources close to Front Office Sports say that these are Jay Z and Jeff Bezos. Bezos supposedly wants to be involved in NFL ownership, as he was in the running for 40% of the Washington Football Team before.
Jay Z would likely bring in more people with him to purchase the Broncos, as the asking price is $4 billion. Hov initially became a billionaire back in the summer of 2019. Jay is also heavily involved in working with the NFL and Roger Goodell, as they partnered on the Super Bowl and social justice initiatives.
The NFL would likely like to bring in a black owner so people will stop saying they never had one.
While Hov can’t compete with Bezos, who would need no investors to buy the team, he would have the backing of Roger Goodell.
