I know the headline may seem hard to wrap your head around, but according to Fox Sports Jay Glazer on Sunday’s pre-game show, the Houston Texans have reportedly turned down a massive offer for Deshaun Watson which included three first-round draft picks and three third-round picks.
Watson who demanded a trade immediately after the 2020 season, is facing 22 lawsuits and 10 criminal complaints stemming from sexual assault allegations. If you were wondering why Watson wasn’t on the field today during the Texans win over the Jaguars, the organization plans on not playing Watson at all this season and are paying him to stay away from the team.
Also noted in the report, Texans GM Nick Caserio will not accept any deal for less than six players and draft picks combined.
Deshaun is definitely a franchise-changing player, but the legal issues and the outrageous demands from Houston may have Watson sitting at home all season.
