While a legendary heavyweight was going on in Las Vegas between Deontay Wilder and Tyson Fury, Adrien Broner was sadly being arrested in Kentucky.
Why was AB in Kentucky? No one knows, but he did have a warrant in Ohio, and once the cops picked him up, they decided to keep him in jail.
Adrien Broner was sitting in a jail cell early Sunday morning — ’cause the guy got picked up by cops in one state … for being wanted in another.
The boxer was arrested and booked around 1 AM, getting hauled into the Kenton County Jail in Kentucky … where he posed for this mug shot. The charges he got rung up on upon entry … fugitive from another state, from which a warrant was required.
No word on the circumstances of how cops stumbled upon Broner, to begin with, but they did.
It’s unclear exactly what case this warrant stems from — but it does originate in Cuyahoga County (where Cleveland is).
AB was supposed to enter a treatment program as part of his plea deal from an assault charge, but he blew it off. That is why he has a warrant.
Broner has had multiple stints in jail for numerous offenses. He still has an $800k judgment against him for a sexual assault case. He told the judge he was broke and had to borrow money from his famous friends just to get by. Recently, he had to be held back from getting into an altercation at an Ohio club.
He has been in rehab, had a sex tape leaked, he often on Instagram post suicidal thoughts and once shared a photo of him naked under a shower speaking on how no one loves him.
Broner was once considered the next Floyd Mayweather, but now he can barely beat C-level fighters and has lost all his major fights against A-level opponents.
