Chris Broussard Says Josh Allen Failed His QB Sneak on 4th and 1 Because Their LT Taylor Lewan Was Injured; Lewan Plays For The Titans Though

I often tell people that doing LIVE TV is a lot harder than it looks.

Especially when you are speaking on a sport or topic that isn’t your strength, Chris Broussard has been an NBA Insider for two decades, but he often is tasked to talk about other sports in his role with FS1’s First Thing First. In this case, he was talking about the controversial play at the end of the Bills vs. Titans game.

The Titans were up three with less than 25 seconds left in the game, and the Bills had a 4th and 1 inside the 5-yard line.

Instead of kicking the FG to tie the game, they decided to run a QB sneak to get the first down and then try to win the game with a touchdown. It wasn’t a bad thought process considering Josh Allen is 230+ pounds, so a QB sneak will work about 99% of the time when you just need a half yard.

This time though, Allen slip and a Titans DL got off the block fast to stop his short of the first down.

Broussard was speaking on the decision to go for it and the play call when he said maybe they shouldn’t have done it because left tackle Taylor Lewan was injured earlier in the game.

The is pretty sound thinking because you probably don’t want to run a sneak to the side of where your backup tackle is playing.

One small problem, though.

Lewan plays for the Titans, not the Bills.

Someone should have jumped in to save Chris, but no one did, and now he is being COOKED on social media for his slip-up. These things happen when you are a little too hyped up and get your players confused. Do you think Broussard should get a pass for this?
