Nets Owner Clara Wu Tsai Almost Caused Jay Z to Spill His Drink at Game

JAY-Z is human like everyone, and a spilled drink won’t hurt.

On Wednesday, the Miami Heat defeated the Brooklyn Nets 106-93 behind Bam Adebayo’s 24 points.

Before halftime, the moment everyone caught was when billionaire and Hip Hop mogul JAY-Z almost spilled a drink on himself.

Per TMZ Sports, Brooklyn co-owner Clara Wu Tsai jumped out of her courtside seat after Blake Griffin threw down a dunk bumping into JAY-Z.

The cup looked to be filled with red wine, too … but, thankfully, it missed Jay’s jeans and sneakers — and the 51-year-old was able to laugh it all off.

Of course, we’re sure Jay would’ve been fine with it regardless … he and Wu Tsai are good friends, and are famously partners in REFORM — the org. the two helped develop in order to fight criminal injustice in America.

It seems the rest of the game went off without a hitch — the two sat courtside and laughed and talked throughout the evening, though the Nets did end up losing 106-93.

It was all laughs in the end because if this was a stranger, the reaction might have been different.

Clara Wu’s husband, Joseph Tsai, bought the NETS and Barclays Center from Russian billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov for $3.3 billion. That was light work for Tsai because he is worth $10 BILLION himself. Like many billionaires, he does a lot of charity work and was instrumental in getting Kevin Durant, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving to the Nets (Kyrie is currently on half-paid vacation).

Jay Z himself just became a BILLIONAIRE.

So, what are a few spilled drinks between billionaires? The play that got her so excited was an ally oop dunk from Blake Griffin. It wasn’t quite vintage Blake, but it wasn’t bad. It wasn’t good enough to lose a drink over.
