Say what you want about Soulja Boy, but he knows how to stay relevant and create headlines.
Big Drako is back in the news expressing his frustration with his fellow rap peers during a recent IG live. The rapper took an issue with the lack of support or even the lack of acknowledgment that he received from the industry when he came out with his own video game console.
Soulja says rappers support major gaming companies like Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft all the time but concluded that rappers didn’t want to support him due to jealousy.
“I ain’t seen one n**** post my video game console cuz you know why?! Cuz they some b**** a** n*****, they hating, n****!” Soulja Boy said. “They haters. They haters, they don’t wanna see the Black community rise. They rather go support Xbox. They rather go support Nintendo. They rather go support the jeweler that’s charging the n***** $200,000 for a watch, but they can’t spend $200 on the Soulja game.”
Soulja also questioned why rappers didn’t use social media to promote their gaming venture, especially considering they all come from the same background.
“If you support me, you supporting the hood!” Soulja Boy continued. “You rather support the Nintendos, the Xbox. You rather go spend your money with the motherf***** that don’t give a f*** about you.”
This might be a case of where the message is 100% accurate, but people have an issue with the messenger. Soulja Boy isn’t wrong about how the black community is quick to support others but forget about their own, but he is also the same person who said he was running Atari now.
People have put some respect on Big Drakos name, the man was the predecessor to the modern-day rapper, with his use of YouTube.
