Baker Mayfield is down bad.
At first, people could just blame Odell Beckham Jr. for his bad play, but now he’s gone, and there isn’t anyone else to blame.
The Browns barely beat the 0-9-1 Lions yesterday, and Baker didn’t play well at all, completing only 15 of his 29 passes for 176 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions.
Fans weren’t pleased with his play, and he was booed during the game, and when he was asked about it, he didn’t really care about them because he says the ones that booed are probably the same ones that won’t be quiet when the offense is trying to operate.
Not one to defend Baker, but in his defense, he was playing hurt, but if he was so hurt, he probably shouldn’t have been playing.
Some fans think he’s tough, though. One fan posted how tough he was and how the rest of the team should take the hint and get tougher. Baker’s wife Emily saw the post and reposted it but deleted it after for some reason.
Emily then had to address the issue, saying she loves and respects the guys on the team. Then she said she isn’t hating on anyone, and they’re all tough as hell.
Not a good week for the Mayfields.
Imagine being this salty after a win. I understand it was just the Lions, but it lets you know there is a lot of dysfunction going on in that building. That is what happens when you have high expectations and are expected to win.
The Browns will have to decide if they want Mayfield to be their quarterback going forward, and these last games of this season will determine his future and the future of the franchise.
Do you think the Browns should give Mayfield a massive contract, or should they let him go to do insurance commercials.
