There is no blood lost between Odell Beckham Jr. and Davante Adams.
Odell was linked to the Packers after being waived by the Browns but ultimately signed with the Rams.
If you think they forgot about Odell spurning them, then you’re wrong.
After their game against each other on Sunday, Odell wanted to do a jersey swap with Davante, and it didn’t go well.
He told him that he could go get Cooper Cupp’s jersey since that’s who he wanted to be with. He didn’t end up sending a jersey to the Rams locker room, though.
Adams, who also told Irvin that he did “too much” in terms of recruiting Beckham to Green Bay, added that he’s got no hard feelings towards the Rams receiver.
“That’s my guy, man,” Adams said. “I love Odell. I think he would’ve been a great fit here but I wish nothing but the best for him.”
But, according to The Athletic, Adams said postgame that he sent his jersey to the Rams locker room after the Packers’ win after all.
“I told him just don’t put a hole in the wall this time,” Adams said, referencing Beckham’s lone playoff appearance with the Giants in 2017 when he allegedly put his first through a wall in Green Bay.
The Browns released Beckham earlier this month amid a decaying relationship with the wide receiver, whose father also chastised quarterback Baker Mayfield on social media. He later agreed to a one-year deal with the Rams worth up to $4.25 million. Prior to signing with the Rams, the Packers were also in the mix for Beckham’s services.
At the moment the Packers look like the Super Bowl favorite and the Rams are faltering a bit. It should be an interesting last few games of the season.
We could easily see the Rams-Packers again in the playoffs.
