Watts rapper Glasses Malone is bringing the bass from the West Coast to his fans around the world after delivering Glasshouse (The Prequel) today. Nostalgia is what Hip Hop fans miss despite the new wave of music centered on either Drill music or Trap music.
Malone collaborated with key music artists such as Snoop Dogg, Ty Dolla $ign and Ice-T.
“As the last true essence of this west coast rap lineage, I want this project to connect the DNA. The history of The West. Gangsta Rap is the unapologetic truth of our culture delivered in a fiery rebellious way. It brings the excitement that’s been missing in hip-hop,” Malone said in a statement.
Without gangsta rap from the West Coast, there would be no raw storytelling from the East Coast given the birth place of Hip Hop comes from New York.
“Rollie Time”, “Rihanna” and “Story Time with Kurupt” (Interlude III) are three of the 16 tracks on the new album.
Tray Dee, The Game, Warren G and Raphael Saadiq are some of the guest appearances on Malone’s tracks.
