Kanye West is now backtracking on his take on Soulja Boy. Ye made an appearance on Drink Champs Podcast where he was asked why he left Big Drako’s verse off his album, Donda. West said the verse simply ‘wasn’t good’ and left it off for that reason.
Soulja Boy has been made at Kanye ever since, but now it seems like Ye has some remorse for Soulja as he took to Instagram to post another text conversation between him and Souja.
“Yo it’s Ye. Love you bro. I should have told you I wasn’t gonna use the verse.” Soulja Boy then responded, “Love you too bro. That’s all I wanted.”
Kanye has been making his rounds with the media, including releasing a video with J. Prince calling on Drake to end their beef and perform in a concert to help free Larry Hoover, the convicted co-founder of Chicago’s infamous Gangster Disciples gang.
“I’m asking Drake on Dec. 7 to join me on stage as a special guest to share the two biggest albums of the year. Live in Los Angeles with the ultimate purpose being to free Larry Hoover.” He added, “I believe this event will not only bring awareness to our cause, but prove to people everywhere how much more we can accomplish when we lay our pride to the side and come together.”
It would be hard to imagine Drake wanting to be friends with Yeezy after he, in unison with Pusha T, aired out some of Drakes’s dirty laundry and screwed the Toronto rapper when it came to his help on Kanye’s own album.
I hope they do a track together now. I would stream a Soulja Boy-Kanye track? Wouldn’t you? At least for the social media reactions, which would be wild.
