It’s been a minute since Kanye West made headlines, and he’s back with a statement on Detroit rapper Big Sean.
West or Ye decided to speak with Drink Champs on how he felt about Big Sean as someone he helped be in a good position.
“I know this man mama, bro. You know what I’m saying? I’ve changed this man family,” he said. “And both John Legend and Big Sean, when I ran for office, got used quick by the Democrats to come at they boy that actually changed they life. And that’s some sellout (expletive), and I don’t rock with neither of them, and I need my apologies.
When it comes to music, Big Sean is regarded as a Detroit legend as opposed to a Hip Hop legend like Kanye West.
Music artists who we see as underrated often are brushed aside as someone the masses don’t focus on.
Ye, the musician formerly known as Kanye West, appeared on the podcast Drink Champs Thursday night (November 4). During the discussion, he discussed a wide range of subjects, including God, politics, the NBA and his relationship with Kobe Bryant, his marriage, Donda, Drake, group chats, thoughts on cancel culture, and much more. Early in the program, he said that he had received only one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, calling himself “halfcinated.” He also returned to the subject of abortion and further expanded on some of his other ideas on spiritual and physical wellness.
At one point, Ye compared himself to Robin Hood, using that comparison to explain his recent collaboration with Gap. He went on to discuss his other work with Marilyn Manson and DaBaby, saying, “They can’t cancel us all.”
Some people believe West was out of pocket for saying what he said, but he’s always labeled the crazy one.
