Ben Parrish (5-1 MMA, 1-0 BMMA) on Sept. 18 handed the unnoticed rising fighter Christian Edwards (5-1 MMA, 5-1 BMMA) an embarrassing loss at Bellator 266.
The Light Heavy Weight event caused the SAP center to spiral out of control when two unpredictable fighters went toe-to-toe.
Violence and dominance was the expectation for fans who favored Edwards as an undefeated fighter during that time.
At 38 seconds, the unexpected happened with Parrish landing a hard left punch to Edwards knocking him down to the canvas.

Parish finished the job landing multiple punches repeatedly forcing the match in Round 1 to be stopped.
Two days prior to the match, Edwards spoke with BSO on how being overlooked will eventually turn into him becoming a threat in the sport.
“Pretty much put the whole division on notice. I feel like I’m a big problem for anybody in the 205 division.”
At this point, building off his loss and making a name for himself is the plan for Edwards. Training and working on his ability to take his opponents to the ground will come in handy when his next fight is announced. Edward’s loss to Parish wasn’t the end, but a reality check that he has more to accomplish in the brutal sport.
