A Verzuz battle between Will Smith and rapper LL Cool J could happen anytime soon because, according to Will, he is still in talks with the rapper for their Verzuz battle to happen.
During a sit-down conversation with his King Richard co-stars Demi Singleton and Saniyya Sidney for Sway in the Morning, Will Smith made the above known.
Sway asked Will Smith if he had ever thought of doing a verzuz battle, and he answered YES and disclosed that he’s actually in talks with LL Cool J for a verzuz battle.
According to Will Smith:
“Yeah, you know I was thinking about that. Me and [LL Cool J], we’re talking about doing one. But I never had a chance to—I was writing my book … L is going to body me.”

Sway’s co-host Heather B then told Will, “What’s dope about Will, though, Will and L was out when the era when it was the DJ and the rapper. It was Eric B. and Rakim, Jazzy Jeff and Fresh Prince. Everybody had their DJ so don’t let [DJ Jazzy] Jeff on the turntables.” Will agreed, telling Heather B, “That’s my secret weapon right there.”
Earlier this year, Fat Joe told Sway that LL Cool J was interested in doing a battle against Drake or Jay-Z. LL has yet to comment on doing a Verzuz battle.
A Versuz battle between Will Smith and LL Cool J is likely to happen anytime soon! Just wait for it!
