Kevin Durant is one of the best athlete tweeters there is. Especially now that he tweets his thoughts from his own Twitter account and not just his burners.
There really isn’t anyone he won’t talk to on Twitter.
He recently saw a video of a 13-year-old doing a combo that involved a between the legs, behind the back, and a reverse spin move with the caption that the move was tuff.
KD didn’t like it cause he said the move stinks. He obviously got a lot of criticism for it because it was just a kid he was critiquing. USA Today found the kid, Jayden Moore, and he says he was hurt and confused by the comment because KD could have encouraged him instead. Moore’s dad is the one who bet his son he couldn’t make the move without traveling and says that there’s almost an immaturity with KD to even get on Twitter to make the comment.
Only upon closer inspection, they discovered Durant, the 11-time NBA All-Star, tweeted about the move, “This (expletive) stinks.”
As of Tuesday night, Durant’s tweet had been liked more than 176,000 times and retweeted more than 18,000 times.
Moore, a 13-year-old point guard, said he was hurt and confused by Durant’s comment.
“Like, what made him take time out of his day to say something negative instead of encouraging me or telling what really needs to be done and then texting me privately or something like that,” Moore said.
KD did say it was just out of habit when he responded to the video. I thought the move was ok. This is where we are at with basketball.
It would have been 100x better if the kid had actually made the shot. Bricking the shot is what makes it funny to me.
