Swizz Beatz Shows Love To HBO: Proud To See DMX Documentary

2022 is almost here and the late DMX is still on many close friends hearts after leaving so soon.

In April, DMX died from a cocaine-induced heart attack which shocked the world and Hip Hop fans.

Director Chris Frierson of DMX: Don’t Try to Understand gave insight on Earl Simmons life and difficult battles.

“[DMX’s] Humanity comes out because those things are all emotions that we as human beings experience,” Frierson said. “The intent was really to show those relationships he has with his family, those relationships he has with his past abuse, the relationship he has with addiction. And these are all things that most Americans, or people in general, have relationships with…I partially owe my sobriety to him, to a certain extent, because the last thing he said to me was that I was going to be alright.”

Swizz Beatz also reacted to the amazing documentary given his life long brother and him built a massive empire.

“Was hard to watch but can’t lie they did a good job,” he wrote in an Instagram post.
