The rumor that Ben Simmons and his girlfriend Maya Jama are engaged has been confirmed by one tattoo artist called Joe Tattoos in a deleted Instagram post. Recently, Ben and Jama got matching tattoos from Joe Tattoos, and he referred to Maya as Ben’s fiancé in his IG post.
Here is what he wrote:
“Honored and humbled to have gotten this opportunity to tattoo my boy @bensimmons and his fiance and her friend from the UK LONDON AWESOME FOLKS GOOD TIME AND A GREAT DINNER THANKS TO YOUR CHEF”.
Now with all the drama swirling around his time ending in Philly, Ben appears ready to take the plunge. Rumors started to surface this week about a possible Ben Simmons/Maya Jama engagement.
Ben Simmons and his girlfriend Maya Jama recently got matching tattoos, and when the Tattoo artist posted about the encounter with Simmons and Maya Jama, he mentioned Ben’s fiancé in his post.
Either Ben is actually engaged, or the Tattoo artist just made an honest mistake. But the fact he had dinner with Ben and Maya makes you think he just slipped in his post, and he knew about their engagement.
I am not sure who will pay for the wedding because there are reports that Simmons has been fined $10 million this season for deciding he simply doesn’t want to play. Simmons claims he has a mental health issue, but the Sixers aren’t buying it. It is likely that Simmons will be traded by the trade deadline, but he will never get that money back.
He is locked in, so he can’t back out now, but you have to wonder if he regrets signing with Rich Paul. It hasn’t worked out the way he thought it would, and it is possible he will go to a team that isn’t as good as the Sixers.
At least he has Maya Jama to come home and cry to.
