I understand Dak is upset at the fact that the refs ended the game when he felt he had at least one more second left for a hail mary pass.
The facts are it was Mike McCarthy, Kellen Moore and Dak himself were the reason their season ended on a spike.
I don’t care what the “Analytics Guy” said you don’t run a QB draw in that situation.
Now, Dak is co-signing the fans throwing trash at the refs according to Yahoo Sports.
There was no final desperation play with the season on the line — only disappointment for the Cowboys. And for some fans, fury. Some speculated that the fans were throwing stuff at Cowboys players. Lawrence, who batted away an incoming beverage, shot that idea down.
“That s*** was aimed at the refs,” Lawrence told reporters, per the Dallas Morning’ News’ Calvin Watkins. … “It had nothing to do with me.” Prescott, meanwhile expressed disappointment to reporters when he thought fans were throwing stuff at players. When he heard the vitriol was aimed at the refs, he changed his tune.
“Credit to them, then,” Prescott said.
The reporters laughed and then gave Prescott a chance to save himself from a potential fine, but instead, Prescott decided to double down.
“Yeah, I mean, yeah, if they weren’t at us, and if the fans felt the same way as us, and that’s what they were doing it for, yeah,” Prescott said. “I’m guessing that’s why the refs took off and got out of there so fast. Yeah, I think everybody is upset with the way that this thing played out. As I said, I’m sure a fan would feel the same way that we do.”
I think the league is going to come down hard on Prescott for these comments, you don’t want your star players encouraging fans to throw objects at the officials.
Flip the page for the video of the fans throwing objects and Dak giving them props.
