Listen, Zaya Wade is still a child.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion on how D Wade, Gabrielle Union, and his mother have handled the situation with his transition, but in the end, that is their family, and they did the felt was best.
I don’t think grown men should be going on YouTube taking shots at a child regardless of their personal opinions of what that child has done.
We all know Kwame Brown has a lot of thoughts on many things, and he wasn’t shy about speaking about Zaya Wade for wearing a Kobe Jersey Dress on the anniversary of his death.
Brown says D Wade is failing as a man and a father. In Kwame’s words, Wade isn’t “Leveling Up.” Brown says that D Wade is letting his woman (Gabrielle Union) control him and his household. Brown says Kobe was a masculine man and wouldn’t want anyone honoring him by wearing a dress.
Brown says he doesn’t have anything about gay and lesbians, but a heterosexual man like Kobe shouldn’t be honored by having a gay teen turn his jersey into a dress.
Brown speaks on how it would have been acceptable to have Zaya wear an actual jersey, but wearing a dress pushes a narrative that shouldn’t be associated with Kobe. Finally, Brown states the black community is being brainwashed, and in the future, if you are going to pay tribute to Kobe, don’t be disrespectful by wearing his jersey as a dress.
It should be noted that the only comment allowed on Zaya Wade was Natalia Bryant, Kobe’s oldest daughter.
Listen, we have no idea what Kobe would or wouldn’t think. However, you want to pay tribute to someone who passed away is your choice. I don’t think Zaya meant any disrespect or was pushing any agenda. He wanted something creative and went for it.
Let us know what you think in the comments. Is Kwame right, or should we just leave Zaya alone?
Flip the pages for Kwame’s rant. It is something and Zaya’s IG post.
