They should have let Carmelo Anthony take these fans in the locker room, lock the door and then asked them if they would like to call him a “boy”.
Whatever happens after that is fair game for everyone involved.
Here is what was said via Chris B. Haynes.
Sixers fan that was ejected for taunting Los Angeles Lakers star Carmelo Anthony kept calling him a “boy” and yelling “get in the corner boy” and “keeping shooting boy,”.
That is a get your a** whupped offense.
These fans have been out of control since the pandemic ended and fans have been allowed back into arenas.
As far as the game, the Sixers cruised to a victory because the Lakers were playing without LeBron.
Joel Embiid had 26 points and nine rebounds, leading the Philadelphia 76ers to a 105-87 victory over a Los Angeles Lakers team playing without LeBron James on Thursday night.
Anthony Davis scored 31 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for the Lakers.
Davis, though, can’t carry the Lakers alone and the Lakers looked lost at times without him. Russell Westbrook turned the ball over late in the first half when his pass to seemingly nobody went out of bounds. He slammed a roll of tape left on the stanchion with TV equipment.
The 37-year-old James is day to day with a sore left knee. James is second in the league in scoring at 29.1 points per game, on pace for his highest average since the 2009-10 season, and has scored at least 25 points in 18 straight games.
I am all for trash talking fans, but leave the racist stuff at home. Keep that between you and racist family and friends. Don’t bring it on the court unless you are ready to fight which I can tell from there reaction they were not. Unless you are willing to say it to a player’s face in the street, don’t say it at all.
Flip the pages for the interaction and how the refs had to stop Carmelo from beating up the fans.
